The Forth-Coming Crisis is a unique blending of deep theological truth and psychological insight. With a warm story-telling style. This book takes a reader from the heart of God, into perspective of pressure that develops character. Overall, it provides you with an overall philosophy & stable foundation to keep your compass pointing you in the right direction. It deserves to be widely read.

South Africa is in a leadership crisis, says André. The world of business is tough, especially today. We know now is the time for exponential acceleration, adaptability, agility and adjusting, a time for resilience, perseverance and courage; where the frames of reference that so many held onto for so long are simply no longer relevant. Covid 19 could have been the ‘Perfect Mask’ for some leaders who were stuck and frozen or whose vision had blurred, yet you have a business to run and staff to look after.

André wanted to be a dentist or a lawyer. The search for the purpose of life has puzzled people for thousands of years, however everyone’s life is driven by something. André Johnson has found his identity and purpose through his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. During this Covid 19 Pandemic people were driven by fear and News Channels, worldwide and André shares that; while the worldview saw it as a Death Sentence, he saw it as an opportunity for change and growth. In today’s challenging and complex world, being highly effective is the price of entry to the playing fields. To thrive, innovate, excel, and lead is the new reality, we must reach beyond effectiveness, toward fulfilment, contribution, and greatness.

André mentions; Being bullied and criticised as a child he had to go through a real period of self-discovery to find other reasons to appreciate himself. We all know of people who have either risen or not risen above their circumstances. And yes, this Covid 19 pandemic created a lot of negative attitudes amongst people, in the workplace as well as in the communities. There are many amazing things that are accomplished by people with positive attitudes. We can either use our circumstances as a crutch to either cripple us, or as a tool to empower the future.

This book is a blueprint to the success of any organisation and a map to show you where you are heading towards. Following the emotional journey in the last chapter of the book has been given me a deep connection with the author.
